WHY JUST SIT HERE UNTIL WE DIE
WHY JUST SIT HERE UNTIL WE DIE
We were
always taught that to “wait upon the Lord” meant to sit and remain immobile
until we SEE the hand of God move and fulfill whatever was promised.
We call it waiting on God, but it is really
unbelief.
We muster
all of our religious nobility and declare God has us in the wilderness…
…BUT WE HAVE
FORGOTTEN:
·
“His divine power HAS GIVEN to us ALL THINGS that
pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by
glory and virtue”
·
“YOU HAVE ETERNAL LIFE NOW! We can
come to God with no doubts.” (1Jn5:13-14ERV)
·
“The LORD is my shepherd; I WILL
ALWAYS HAVE EVERYTHING I NEED.” (Ps23:1ERV)
·
And God is able to make ALL grace
abound toward you, that you, ALWAYS HAVING ALL SUFFICIENCY
IN ALL THINGS, may have an abundance for EVERY good work.”
(2Cor9:8NKJV)
·
“For ALL
THE PROMISES of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God
through us” (1Cor1:20NKJV)
2Ki6-7 recounts
King Ben-Hadad of Aram, Syria staging
his army around Samaria, the Israelite capital, to starve them into submission.
A severe famine ensued inside the
city, and Israel was in panic mode.
2Ki7:3-4BSB “Now there were four
men with leprosy at the entrance of the city gate, and they said to one
another, ‘WHY JUST SIT
HERE UNTIL WE DIE?’”
They figured they had three
options:
1. Go into the city and die from
famine;
2. stay where they were and die.
3. go to the camp of the Syrians…
and “If they let us live, we will live; if they kill us, we will die.”
So… they went to the Syrian camp
and to their surprise… no one was there!
God had caused the whole camp to
hear the sound of “chariots, horses, and a great army”… at which they fled in
terror, leaving EVERYTHING behind.
It is time
to stop waiting for someone or something to change or move.
The enemy has fled and left ALL the spoils to you.
Neh4:14NKJV "Do not
be afraid of them.
Remember the
Lord, great and awesome,
and fight
for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your
houses."
“For the
weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the
destruction of fortresses.” (2Cor10:4-NASB)
Isa52:2BSB
·
Shake off your dust!
·
Rise up
·
Remove the chains from your neck
Deut9:23NKJV
“Go up and possess the land which I HAVE GIVEN YOU”
WHY JUST
SIT HERE UNTIL WE DIE!?!?!
