LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS!



During World War 2 this statement echoed throughout America as a reminder to avoid unguarded talk which might undermine the war effort.  It continued throughout that century and into the next as an idiom to avoid careless talk that would bring about division or discontent, destroying unity and solidarity of purpose.


Ps141:3KJV  “Set a guard, O Lord, over MY MOUTH; keep watch over the door of MY LIPS.”



Pr6:2KJV “Thou art snared with THE WORDS OF THY MOUTH, thou art taken with THE WORDS OF THY MOUTH”


Jas3:5–6KJV … “the TONGUE is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the TONGUE among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”


Mk11:23KJV “…whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass, HE SHALL HAVE WHATSOEVER HE SAITH”


Pr11:11KJV  “By THE BLESSING of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown BY THE MOUTH of the wicked.”


Have you heard people say, “this is the poorest county… this city has more sickness… or the people in this region are just the most ignorant…?” 

How many times do we find ourselves making statements about a certain people or area that is derogatory, rather than speaking life and what our Father believes about them or the situation? 

We are cursing the very region into which we were sent

We were sent to set them free.

 

 

THE PROBLEM: 

“Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth SPEAKS" (Lk6:45NKJV)

                  …and what WE ARE SPEAKING, we do not doubt….

…WE SHALL HAVE WHATEVER WE SAY. (Mk11:23)

 

 

Jas3:10KJV “Out of the same MOUTH proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.”



WE ARE IN A WAR!



When you SPEAK do you impart a spirit of fear… or do you impart the spirit of power, love, and of a sound mind? (2Tim1:7)



Which king and kingdom will we represent today?

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
