WHAT IS NECESSARY HEREAFTER

 

For now [in this time of imperfection]

we see in a mirror dimly [a blurred reflection, a riddle, an enigma],

but then [when the time of perfection comes

we will see reality] face to face.

Now I know in part [just in fragments],

but then I will know fully,

just as I have been fully known [by God]. (1Cor13:12AMP)

 

There are things we seem to partially comprehend, but Jesus stated to his disciples:

“To you it has been granted to know

THE MYSTERIES of the kingdom of heaven.” (Mtt13:11NASB95)

 

Jn3:32Voice “He reveals THE MYSTERIES seen and realities heard of the heavens above, but no one below is listening.”

 

Rev1:1AMP “This is THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST [His unveiling of the divine MYSTERIES], which God [the Father] gave to Him to show to His bond-servants (believers) THE THINGS WHICH MUST SOON TAKE PLACE [in their entirety]…”

 

Rev1:19KJV “Write the things which thou hast seen,

and the things which are,

and the things which SHALL BE HEREAFTER;”

 

SHALL BE - méllō – “what is sure to happen” (J. Thayer).

HEREAFTER – is translated from two Greek words: meta tauta,

·       metá  – CHANGE AFTER BEING WITH

·       tauta – this, these (things), he, him, it

Then in Rev4:1KJV it says: “AFTER THIS (meta tauta)

I looked, and, behold a door was opened in heaven:

and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me;

which said, COME UP HITHER,

and I will shew thee things WHICH MUST BE (dei - is necessary)

HEREAFTER (meta tauta)

 

First of all… notice what the voice said… COME UP HERE (HITHER).

We have been “raised up together” and seated “in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Eph2:6)

HE IS SHOWING US THINGS FROM HIS PERSPECTIVE

                 

And… WHAT IS the first thing NECESSARY “HEREAFTER”?

… “IMMEDIATELY I WAS IN THE SPIRIT” (Rev4:2KJV)

 

1Cor2:9-10NKJV “’Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’

…But God HAS REVEALED THEM to us THROUGH HIS SPIRIT…”

 

Continuing in Rev4:2… what is the first thing you see IN THE SPIRIT?

“…a throne… …set in heaven,

…and ONE sat on the throne.”

 

You realize as in Dan4:17NKJV

“That THE MOST HIGH RULES in the kingdom of men.”

 

WHAT IS NECESSARY

·       You are in the Spirit… IMMEDIATELY

·       You know He’s seated on the throne.

·       You are seated with Him.

HEREAFTER – (meta tauta) YOU ARE CHANGED AFTER BEING WITH HIM!

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
