JESUS OUR EXAMPLE

 

 

1Pet2:21NKJV “For to this you were called, because CHRIST also suffered for us, leaving us AN EXAMPLE, that you should follow His steps.”

 

The Greek word translated EXAMPLE is “hypogrammon”… a compound of “hupo” (ὑπό - under) and “grapho”  (γράφω - written).

            Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance defines it as:

an underwriting, i.e. Copy for imitation (figuratively)

 -- example.

 

“…clearly you are an epistle [a written letter] of Christ,

ministered by us,

written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God,

not on tablets of stone

but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” (2Cor3:3NKJV)

 

IT IS A REPLICATE OF THE PRECISE PATTERN WRITTEN OR LAID DOWN

                  FOR DUPLICATION!

 

 

 Aren't we then expected to do everything the "EXAMPLE" does?

 

 

He wouldn't expect you to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out devils, etc

... unless He set THE EXAMPLE

 

 

Jn14:12NKJV "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.”

 

 

Heb6:20AMP “…JESUS has entered [in advance] AS A FORERUNNER for us…”

AS YOU SENT ME into the world,

I ALSO HAVE SENT THEM into the world.” (Jn7:16-18NASB95)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
