FOREVER SETTLED
FOREVER SETTLED
“FOREVER, O LORD, YOUR WORD IS SETTLED in heaven [standing firm and unchangeable].” (Ps119:89AMP)
· "God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He SPOKEN, and will He not make it good? (Num23:19NKJV)
· “I am the LORD; I have SPOKEN, and I will perform it.” (Eze17:24NASB95)
· “…I am watching over MY WORD to perform it." (Jer1:12NASB95)
· “For I am the Lord; I will speak, and THE WORD that I shall SPEAK shall be performed (come to pass)…” (Eze12:25AMPC)
· “…as I have thought, so it shall come to pass, And as I have purposed, so it shall stand.” (Isa14:24NKJV)
· “I am the LORD, I do not change;” (Mal3:6NKJV)
· “My covenant I will not break, Nor alter THE WORD that has gone out of My lips.” (Ps89:34NKJV)
Lk4:10AMP aptly states:
“FOR IT IS WRITTEN AND FOREVER REMAINS WRITTEN”
The Greek word “γέγραπται (gegraptai)” is translated, “IT IS WRITTEN” 67 times in the New Testament as a perfect indicative verb.
Thus, it describes an action that was completed in the past,
but whose results are still relevant
continuing in perpetuity.
It focuses on the resulting state, not the action itself.
You see this with other verbs like τετέλεσται (tetelestai) in John 19:28,
meaning "it has been finished" or "it is completed,"
referring to JESUS’ WORK,
showing a completed action with ongoing results.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end." (Rev22:13NASB95)
Jesus Christ IS THE WORD!
…THE “logos” (WORD)
“logos” …the very thought, intent, purpose, and motive BEHIND everything YHWH said or did from the beginning
John 1:1-3,14NKJV
In the beginning was the WORD (logos)
and the WORD (logos) was with God,
and the WORD (logos) was God.
HE was in the beginning with God.
All things were made through HIM,
and without HIM nothing was made that was made.
And the WORD (logos) became flesh
and dwelt among us,
and we beheld HIS glory…”
Christ, the WORD is “THE EXPRESS IMAGE (charakter) of the Father”, who, through HIM “made the worlds” and upholds “all things by the WORD of His power” (Heb1:2-3NKJV)
Heb13:8NKJV “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
The WORD (logos) is the same… HE CHANGES NOT
In HIM there is “no variation or shadow of turning.” (Jas1:17NKJV)
The only variable is me.
I choose whether I vary, waver, or doubt…
OR… am steadfast, unshakable, and immovable in His WORD,
Mk13:31NASB95 “Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS will not pass away.”
“…the WORD of the LORD endures FOREVER.” (1Pet1:25NKJV)
…FOREVER SETTLED!
