FIVE FOLD FULL HOUSE

 

 

For years I would go to Denominational Pastors Conferences, Ministerial Meetings, City Pastoral Breakfasts and many other caucuses of the “spiritual minds” in any given region.

 

Even though these gatherings were purposed to bring the Body of Christ together, an underlying current was still bringing the divisive flow which has kept us separated from the beginning.

 

We would all pass around our business, ministry, or title cards as though we are playing poker… with Apostles high and Prophets wild… and if you are holding all FIVE-FOLD in your church… you have a FULL HOUSE!

 

Being a “lay person” was like playing with just the common numbers…

…THE COMMON FOLK.

            …you don't win often.

The strongest play was when you are among the CLERGY… the ROYALTY… the FACE CARDS… the ones with the strongest personality and demonstratively showy gift or “anointing”.

 

So… why do the parishioners, the congregation, the saints feel second-rate, or “common”?

 

There is an ideology that operates by a spirit of oppression which propagates that system:

The Doctrine of the Nicolaitans (Rev2:15)

            …Which produces: The Deeds of The Nicolaitans (Rev2:6)

…which things GOD HATES (Rev2:15,6)

 

Why would God hate that?

 

Because of what it does to HIS SONS… HIS OFFSPRING.

 

NICOLAITAN – a compound of two words:

·         Nike – to oppress and dominate by force

·         laitan – the common folk

 

Just the idea that there is a “clergy” and a “laity” moves one group to an upper echelon of royalty and forces the other to stay “under” in their station.

 

 

What is the purpose of the FIVE-FOLD?

            …not to rule…

…BUT (Eph4:12-14 literal)

·         TO PERFECT THE SAINTS for the work of ministry for building up the body of Christ,

·         UNTIL we all reach unity in the faith in the knowledge of the Son of God

·         (TO BRING ALL THE SAINTS) unto a man complete unto the full measure of the stature of Christ.

·         THAT we will no longer be infants, tossed about by the waves and carried around by every wind of teaching...

 

The focus is not our status within the deck… rather, it is to help each individual discover their true significance… until WE ALL COME to the fullness of the stature of Christ.



This is not a game.

This is an opportunity to think of those around us more highly than ourselves. (Phi2:3)

…to lay down our titles and crowns at the feet of Christ (Rev4:10-11)

…to lay down our life so others may live and grow (Jn15:13)

…so that all of creation finally gets that for which they have been expectantly waiting… (Rom8:19)

 

…A SON OF GOD.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
