PARISTEMI

PARISTEMI

Lk1:19KJV “And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, THAT STAND IN THE PRESENCE OF GOD; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.”

The word Greek “PARISTEMI”, translated here as “STAND”, is word picture intended to paint a scene in the reader’s or listener’s mind of “I stand so close that when I leave… I bear His presence.”

Eph2:13KJV “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are MADE NIGH by the blood of Christ.”

Can a person be more “NIGH” than someone else?

The blood of Christ has made me JUST AS CLOSE to our Father – and with the same access - as everyone else.

Eph3:11–12KJV “… in Christ Jesus our Lord:

In whom we have boldness and access

with confidence…

BY THE FAITH…

                  OF HIM!

It is BY HIS FAITH in what HE did

that we have no more veil… (2Cor3:13-16)

that we have been made NIGH (Eph2:13)

We now have the privilege of having as intimate of a relationship that we desire, because HE made it possible… IT WAS HIS DESIRE!

HE chose YOU! (Jn15:16)

…And drew YOU… to Christ…  HIMSELF. (Jn6:44)

HE desires RELATIONSHIP with YOU!

Eph2:18KJV “For THROUGH HIM we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.”

“Having therefore, brethren,

boldness to enter into the holiest

by the blood of Jesus,

By a new and living way,

which he hath consecrated for us,

through the veil,

that is to say, his flesh;

Let us draw near

with a true heart

in full assurance of faith”, (Heb10:19-22KJV)

We have been made sons of God! (Jn1:12; Gal 4:6; Rom 8:14)

Eph2:4-6 NKJV “…God… because of His great love with which He loved us… made us alive together with Christ… and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,”

Christ is the express image of the Father… And the brightness of His glory. (Heb 1:3)

AS HE IS… SO ARE WE IN THIS WORLD! (1Jn 4:17)

We are seated IN CHRIST AT THE RIGHT HAND of the Father

We, too, PARISTEMI…

…stand so close to our Father

…that when we are sent forth

…we bear His presence with us.
