OPEN THE EYES

OPEN THE EYES

2 Kings 6 describes a situation when the king of Syria was trying to capture Elisha

“Therefore, he sent horses and chariots and a great army there,

and they came by night and surrounded the city.

And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out,

there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots.

And his servant said to him, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" (2Ki6:14-15NKJV)

How many times do we feel the enemy closing in all around us and it appears as if there is no escape?

The creditors are circling as vultures…

The symptoms are seeming to only worsen…

The things being said about you are more frequent and vitriolic

Everything seems to be disintegrating and spinning out of control

And we cry out, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?"

“…So he answered, "Do not fear,

for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." (2Ki6:16NKJV)

Did you know that the phrase, “FEAR NOT” is used 365 times in the Bible?

A DAILY reminder to FEAR NOT.

                  WHY?

FEAR NOT, for I AM with you;

Be not dismayed, for I AM your God.

        I WILL strengthen you…

        I WILL help you…

        I WILL uphold you…

…with My righteous right hand.”                         (Isa41:10NKJV)

“And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray,

OPEN HIS EYES THAT HE MAY SEE." (2Ki6:17NKJV)

Uhhhh… why only “OPEN THE EYES OF MY SERVANT”?

“Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, AND HE SAW.

And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire

all around Elisha.” (2Ki6:17NKJV)

NOTICE: It never says that Elisha saw the angels in chariots of fire surrounding him.

He didn't have to SEE them

He just KNEW his God

He KNEW they were there!

Dan11:32KJV “…the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.”

YOU ARE NOT A SERVANT

You don't just know your God…

                                    …YOU ARE A SON OF GOD (Gal4:7)

Eph1:18NASB95

“I pray that the EYES OF YOUR HEART may be enlightened,

so that you will know what is the hope of His calling,

what are the riches of the glory

of His inheritance in the saints”

NOW…

EYES BE OPENED…

                  …SEE HOW YOUR FATHER SEES
