SERMON FODDER

 

Jeremiah 23 states the frame of mind the Lord has toward those who are just searching for SERMON FODDER preparing for next week’s message… Especially verse 30

“…behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord,

that steal my words every one from his neighbour.”

 

Jer23:21NASB95 "I did not send these prophets, But they ran.

 I did not speak to them, But they prophesied.”

 

They say, “'Thus says the Lord GOD,' when the LORD has not spoken.”  (Ez22:28NASB95)

 

“They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, TheLord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.” (Eze13:6KJV)

 

 

The problem occurs whenever we hear something great, it is always seen as something to be passed on to others.

 

It is truly sad that we take the words of the Lord, never digest them ourselves, but as a bird... Regurgitate them back into the mouths of others perceived as ones that are OUR babies - when, in reality, they were WORDS BY WHICH WE WERE TO LIVE.

 

 

In Ezekiel 3:1-11 God is sending Ezekiel to give HIS WORD to the rebellious House of Israel and gives Ezekiel instruction of what to do with that word BEFORE he gives it out to Israel

·       Eat this scroll (Ez3:1)

·       Ezekiel opened his mouth, and God fed him the scroll (Ez3:2)

·       Feed your stomach (Ez3:3)

·       Fill your body with this scroll (Ez3:3)

·       Take into your heart ALL the words (Ez3:10)

·       Listen closely (Ez3:10)

·       Then go… and “speak with MY WORDS to them” (Ez3:11,4)

 

 

 All of creation is groaning in the expectation for the manifestation of sons of God…

They are waiting for someone who will simply speak for their Father.

 

A son is sent... or given… when he manifests the very character and nature of His Father worked in him. He manifests the logos - the very thought, intent, purpose, and motive behind what is spoken (definition of logos). Every fiber of his being demonstrates that the Kingdom of God is at hand - right here, right now!

 

THE WORD OF THE LORD becomes something by which you now live…

…Infused with power into every fiber of your being

…rather than having it reduced to simple

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
