LINES AND BOUNDARIES

 

LINES AND BOUNDARIES

 

Throughout history wars have been fought over LINES AND BOUNDARIES…

…nation against nation

…state versus state

…neighbor against neighbor

…I remember even as a young boy fighting with my brother over the armrest in the backseat of our parents’ car!

 

We are always looking for our BOUNDARIES to be defined with clarity.

 

“The LORD is the portion of my inheritance, my cup [He is all I need];

You support my lot.

The [BOUNDARY] LINES [of the land] have fallen for me in pleasant places;

Indeed, MY HERITAGE is beautiful to me.

I will bless the LORD who has counseled me;

Indeed, my heart (mind) instructs me in the night.

I have set the LORD continually before me;

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Therefore my heart is glad and my glory [my innermost self] rejoices;

My body too will dwell [confidently] in safety, (Ps16:5-9AMP)

 

During any discussion about LINES AND BOUNDARIES, the general consensus is that they are indicating the limits and fences established to keep you IN a designated area… UNDER a certain dominion… WITHIN specific parameters.

 

BUT…

What if those LINES AND BOUNDARIES actually show us the veritable expanse of our inheritance…

                  …the far reaches of our power and authority in an eternal KINGDOM

…encompassing the entirety of Heaven and Earth.

 

Our FATHER has “…established all the BOUNDARIES of the earth…” (Ps74:17NASB95)

SO… “Do not move the ancient BOUNDARY Which your fathers have set” (Pr22:28NASB95)

 

Without LINES AND BOUNDARIES how would you know:

·       “…the way wherein (you) must walk and the work that (you) must do.”? (Ex18:20KJV)

·       what is YOUR land and what is not?

·       for what you are to fight?

·        what you ALREADY HAVE… onto which to “hold fast til I come” (Rev2:25NKJV)?

·       what has been promised and given as your inheritance?

“For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen,

to the glory of God through us.”(2Cor1:20NKJV)

“He set a BOUNDARY for the sea So that the water would not violate His command, When He marked out the foundations of the earth;” (Pr8:29NASB)

                  ALL OF HIS LINES AND BOUNDARIES ARE… “BY PERPETUAL DECREE” (Jer5:22NKJV)

 

Isa10:12-14 explains the process of how the enemy comes to steal THAT DECREE… THE WORD:

1.         He first Removes the BOUNDARIES of the people

2.         Then robs their treasures

3.         Putting down the inhabitants like a valiant man

4.         He then Reaches his hand as into a nest of the people to gather all the eggs for himself

5.         He gathers the whole Earth

6.         and NO ONE moves the wing, opens the mouth, or peeps

                  …because we don't know where the LINES AND BOUNDARIES are!

 

So… what is your Heavenly Father’s perpetual decree?

      …What is the expanse of His Kingdom?

      …What is the vastness of your inheritance?

      …What are your LINES AND BOUNDARIES?
