CHANGE

 

 

 

One of the fellowships we used to attend had a sign over the nursery door stating:

“Behold, I shew you a mystery:

We shall not all sleep,

but we shall all be CHANGED” (1Cor15:51KJV)

 

 

Definitely taken out of context… but still funny… AND TRUE!

 

 

CHANGE is inevitable, unpreventable, and even inescapable.

No living organism can exist without CHANGE.

           

CHANGE is how you grow…

            …how you learn

            …how you progress

            …how you adapt to times and seasons

            …how you overcome and succeed

 

 

 

BUT… did you know that 98.7% of the world’s population resists CHANGE?

 

[Did you also know that 85% of all statistics are made up on the spot

to try to prove a point? HAHAHA]

 

 

 

HUMANS not only resist CHANGE… they hate it… even despise it.

 

CHANGE is uncomfortable… inconvenient… and often frustrating.

 

The problem is without CHANGE there is no progress… no growth.

 

You cannot mature without CHANGE.

 

 

We have been predestined to be CONFORMED into the likeness and image of Jesus Christ upon the Earth (Rom8:29)

 

The root Greek word used in translating “CONFORMED” is “morphoo”:

"CHANGING FORM in keeping with inner reality"

                  (who you REALLYare)

 

The word “morphoo” paints a word picture of the process of CHANGE from a caterpillar to butterfly… including the concept that the reason for that TRANSFORMATION is because you are in close relationship with the Creator…

 

 

Our relationship with YHWH, our Heavenly Father, CHANGES us from…

·       strength TO strength (Ps84:7)

·       faith TO faith (Rom1:17) [seeing life from one way to another]

·       glory TO glory (2Cor3:18)

o   TRANSFORMED into His same image by the Spirit of the Lord

o   Simply by beholding in the mirror who we REALLY are...

Rom12:2NKJV “do not be conformed to this world, but be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of your mind”

“TRANSFORMED” – “metamorphoo” properly, TRANSFORMED after being with; TRANSFIGURED. …consequently, you begin “sharing the same inner essence-identity (form); showing similar behavior from having the same essential nature” (Biblehub Helps/ Word Studies)

 

We are continually being CHANGED.

 

As new creatures in Christ, old things are in the perpetual process of being passed away, while ALL THINGS in us are continuously being made NEW. (2Cor5:17)

 

 

Rom8:11 states that because the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you,

                  …every single cell… every fiber… every molecule IN YOUR MORTAL BODY

is infused with RESURRECTION POWER AND LIFE…

                 

                                    …AND YOU ARE CHANGED!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
