BUSYBODIES

 

Why is it that once a person gets an idea that they are a Son of God... a child of the King... they have a tendency to start telling others what they "NEED TO DO"?

 

We have no idea that we "wrestle NOT against flesh and blood " and somehow now believe it is our sacred duty to enforce the obedience to the Word of God and His Principles upon all those around them…
…forgetting that "it is the goodness of God That leadeth a man to repentance" (Rom2:4KJV)

 

In that religious spirit we command, direct, and verbally assault the very ones around us to whom we were sent to demonstrate the KINGDOM OF GOD with HIS power, mercy, love and grace...as a son... to give them HIS NATURE, not His law.

 

We say, "What you need to do is...."; or "if you want to get well, you ought to...";  or... "you should"... or "have to"... or... whatever.  

Who made US Lord to them that WE should tell THEM what to do?

… and THEY hate it... and US... and we wonder why.

 

We have become "BUSYBODIES".  

 

As it says in 1Pet4:15, "But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a BUSYBODY IN OTHER MEN’S MATTERS."

That “BUSYBODY IN OTHER MEN’S MATTERS." is translated from ONE Greek word defined as:

"one who takes the supervision of affairs pertaining to others and in no wise to himself, a meddler in other men’s affairs."

2Thes3:11-12 "For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly,

working not at all,

but are BUSYBODIES.

Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that:

with quietness they work,

and eat THEIR OWN bread."

[“first, get the log out of your own eye” (Lk6:42)]

 

We were sent to preach the GOSPEL, THE GOOD NEWS to the world... not bring them back into bondage of what they should and should not do

 

Ps131:1-2KJV “Lord, My heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty:
Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me.
SURELY, I HAVE BEHAVED AND QUIETED MYSELF…”
