AUTHORITY

 

AUTHORITY: the delegated absolute and unrestricted freedom and right to act.

 

Christ says: “ALL POWER [exousia:- authority] is given unto me in heaven and in earth… Go ye therefore…” (Mtt28:18-19KJV)

 

Lk10:19KJV: “Behold, I give unto you POWER [exousia:- authority] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the POWER [dunamis:- miraculous ability] of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

 

We are sent in HIS name… in HIS place… on HIS behalf to do whatever HE would do to demonstrate the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand…right here and now.

 

Lk7:7–9KJV “…but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.”

 

Notice that Christ likens the centurion’s understanding of His AUTHORITY to GREAT FAITH.

 

When you finally realize that Christ really does HAVE ALL AUTHORITY…  you understand that as He sends you He says,“the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” (Jn 14:12)

 

By the way…. What is Christ like RIGHT NOW?

 

…far above all principality, power, ruler, might, and dominion.

… full of explosive, miraculous ability or power

…crowned with majesty and honor.

…is the epitome of love.

… eyes of flames of fire, hair as white as wool, and out of his mouth comes a sharp two-edged sword.

… seated at the right hand of the Father.

… holy, righteous and complete in glory.

… everything bows at His name and trembles when He speaks.

… all of creation obeys HIS COMMANDS.

 

And then He says:

“AS HE IS,

SO ARE WE

IN THIS WORLD” (1Jn4:17)

 

 

NOW…

                  …GO in the fulness of HIS POWER

                                    …and in the maximum extent of HIS AUTHORITY!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
