OTHER LORDS BESIDES YOU

 

LORD – the one with right of decision… as one having power or authority… owner.

 

Have you ever realized that addiction, as well as sickness, disease, and pain have a tendency to rule one's life? 

That “affliction” becomes LORD, not only dictating to that person what they can and can not do, but terrorizing the whole family and sphere of influence, as well… affecting EVERY decision that person - and everyone associated with them - make.

 

An addiction or disease such as Cancer, Diabetes, Parkinson's, etc come in… sets itself up “AS GOD… IN THE TEMPLE OF GOD… SHOWING HIMSELF TO BE GOD!” (2Thes2:4)

…YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF THE MOST HIGH GOD! (1Cor3:19;6:19)

 

That entity says, “see… I set myself here as God, and you can’t do anything about it! 

I am LORD now!”

…reminding himself that he reigns in the temple of God…

…where only Christ was to be LORD.

 

I’ve heard people say, “no, I can’t because of my arthritis", or “I wish I could, but this diabetes… cancer… disability… or… whatever".

 

It has never been an issue about sickness or disease…

                  It's about WHOSE RIGHT IT IS TO RULE

                                    in the TEMPLE OF THE MOST HIGH GOD...

                                                      …YOU!

 

Since YOU are HIS temple… shouldn’t HE be THE ONLY ONE WITH RIGHT OF DECISION over it…

…in any situation or circumstance?

 

Christ told the disciples to “HEAL ALL who are sick and tell them ‘THE KINGDOM (rule, reign, authority, LORDSHIP) OF GOD is at hand” (Lk10:9)… demonstrating they are now under a different LORD and KING… under another’s rule.

 

Col1:13NASB95 “He rescued us from the DOMAIN [exousia: Authority, power, right, jurisdiction]  of darkness, and transferred us to the KINGDOM of His beloved Son”

 

Rom10:9KJV “if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the LORD JESUS… And shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED” (SOZO – set free, healed, get on well, prosper, to be whole)

 

Isa26:12-14AMPC

“LORD,

YOU will ordain peace…

(God's favor and blessings,

both temporal and spiritual)

…for us,

     …for You have also wrought in us

     …and for us

     …all our works.

LORD, our God,

OTHER MASTERS [LORDS] BESIDES YOU have ruled over us…

     but we will acknowledge…

     …and mention YOUR NAME ONLY.

They, [THE FORMER TYRANT MASTERS]

are dead…

     …they shall not live and reappear;

     …they are powerless ghosts,

     …they shall not rise and come back.

Therefore, YOU have visited

       and made an end of them

       and caused every memory of them

[EVERY TRACE OF THEIR SUPREMECY]

              ...TO PERISH.”

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
