JOURNEYING OF THE CAMP

 

When Nehemiah was sent by Yahweh God to rebuild Jerusalem, he also had letters from the king to give him the authority to carry out that mission.  He arrived to find the walls of Jerusalem in ruins and most of the city a burned out rubble.

 

He started sharing the vision of a restored city, attempting to rally the region to rise up and rebuild what they had lost.  The citizens, however, had existed there so long that they were oblivious to their situation, and were offended at the suggestion that what they possessed was in a “less than perfect state”.

 

They set about to kill him!

 

Have you ever noticed that each time our Heavenly Father starts to restore something to present Himself a bride without spot or wrinkle, the Church is reluctant to let His hand mold her?

 

WE DESPISE CHANGE.

 

Every reformation has had to come OUT of “the norm" and establish the “NEW”… only to camp out and insulate THEMSELVES from further refining touches.

 

Each revelation which was to be simply an added building block, became a golden calf worshipped above the Creator. 

 

We have forgotten that this is a journey… an intimate relationship with the living Word rather than a tablet set in stone by an absentee King. 

 

As sons of God we are to be led by the Spirit of God..  to FOLLOW Him as He leads.

 

When the Lord speaks in Isa43:18-19KJV, “Remember ye not the former things,

neither consider the things of old. 

Behold, I will do a new thing;

now it shall spring forth;

shall ye not know it?”

 

He is letting His people know that they cannot comprehend the great end result…

so… don’t hold onto the past successes, failures, knowledge, ways, etc. 

 

“YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT I AM BUILDING.”

 

LET HIM BUILD YOU.

 

Phil3:13–14 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended:

but…

this ONE THING I do…

FORGETTING THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE BEHIND,

and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 

I PRESS FORWARD the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
