I WILL BUILD MY

 

It has always been fascinating to watch how different contractors BUILD. Each has his own style and signature ways apparent throughout the entire process…  which are clearly evident in the finished product.

Most follow a blueprint of THEIR design.

Some BUILD according to plans drafted by someone else

Others CONSTRUCT after the fashion in which they were taught…

However it is done… each man has in his heart what to do and BUILDS what is right in his own eyes.

 

Pr21:2 “Every WAY of a man is right in his own eyes...”

Deut12:8-9BSB “You are not to do as we are doing here today, where everyone does what seems right in his own eyes. For you have not yet come to the resting place and the inheritance that the LORD your God is giving you.”

Pr16:25;14:12 “There is a WAY that seems right to a man, but at the end of it is the WAY of death.”

 

Just because it is the WAY it has always been done… doesn't mean it is THE WAY OF CHRIST.

After all…isn't HE “THE WAY… THE TRUTH… AND THE LIFE? (Jn14:6)

 

“Heaven is My throne, And earth is My footstool. WHAT HOUSE WILL YOU BUILD FOR ME? says the LORD.” (Isa66:1;Acts7:49)

 

In Mtt16:18, Christ saying, “I WILL BUILD MY”, alludes to the fact that OTHERS ARE BUILDING THEIRS… maybe even FOR Him.

 

1Pet2:7-8;Ps118:22;Acts4:11 say that CHRIST IS “the stone which THE BUILDERS rejected”

…Jesus even quotes it about Himself! (Mtt21:42;Mk12:10;Lk20:17)

 

“Unless the LORD BUILDS THE HOUSE, They labor in vain who build it.” (Ps127:1)

 

So… what is HE IS BUILDING?

 

“YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD...” (1Cor3:16)

“…having been BUILT on… Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the WHOLE BUILDING, being FITTED TOGETHER, is growing into a HOLY TEMPLE in the Lord…” (Eph2:19-21)

 

Eph2:10 “WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP”

 

(1Pet2:4-6) “YOU… as living stones, are being BUILT up as a SPIRITUAL HOUSE.”

 

He is BUILDING YOU… INDIVIDUALLY… as a TEMPLE… and simultaneously FITTING YOU TOGETHER COLLECTIVELY to be His Holy HABITATION (Eph2:22)… HIS BODY (1Cor12:27)…  “until we all come to the fullness and stature of Christ upon the Earth” (Eph4:13)

 

What happens when HE BUILDS HIS? (Mtt16:18-19)

·       “The gates of hell shall NOT prevail against it

·       and I will give unto you the keys of the kingdom of heaven:

·       and whatsoever you shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven:

·       and whatsoever you shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
