HE BORE IT ALL

 

How far is the East from the West?

 

How ever far that is… Ps103:12 says that is how far our transgressions… our sins and trespasses have been removed from us by God Himself!

Isa53:10 “it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin,”

 

When it says in 1Pet2:24, “He Himself BORE our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness…”

                  …what does “BORE” mean?

BORE – anaphérō – properly, bring up to the goal (end point),

i.e. carrying something through its sequence to reach its needed consummation

 

And what was the consummate goal of His will?

HAVE ALL MEN…

·       BE “RECONCILED to God through the death of His Son...” (Rom5:10)

…for “The chastisement [needful to obtain] peace, wholeness, and well-being for us was upon Him” … “he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities” (Isa53:5AMP)

 

·       “BE SAVED, [SOZO – get on well, prosper, be healed, delivered, be made WHOLE],

and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” (1Tim2:4)

 

 

So, Jesus Christ BORE your sins and iniquities…

…but… Did you know that Christ also BORE your pain, sickness and disease?

 

Isa53:4 states: “Surely He has BORNE our griefs (choli – SICKNESS, DISEASE, ILLNESS) And CARRIED our sorrows (makob – PAIN, SUFFERING, ANGUISH, AFFLICTION)

 

And He “HEALED ALL that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself TOOK our infirmities, and BORE our sicknesses.” (Mtt8:16-17)

 

TOOK – lambano: to aggressively lay hold of in order to carry away

BORE – bastazo: from the root word basis (bas’ece)… which means “to walk/ the foot”

 

So, when Christ “BORE” it… He took it from you,

put it upon his feet and walked away with it…

…And kept walking…

…Removing it as far as the East is from the West!

 

 

SO… since HE BORE our sins and removed them as far as the East is from the West

HE ALSO BORE our pain, sickness and disease…

…and removed those THAT FAR, AS WELL!

 

 

Mtt9:5AMP “For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven and the penalty paid,’

…or to say, ‘Get up and walk’?”

 

It's no difference to Him!
