THE LAST ADAM

 

 

"The first man, Adam, became A LIVING SOUL.

 THE LAST ADAM became A LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT [zóopoieó: make alive, give life to… to infuse and empower with LIFE ].” (1Cor15:45)

 

 

2Cor3:6  “…who also made us able ministers of the NEW COVENANT, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit GIVES LIFE  [zóopoieó]”

 

 

Ps103:2-8 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:”

1.        Who forgives all your iniquities,

2.        Who heals all your diseases,

3.        Who redeems your life from destruction,

4.        Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,

5.        Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.

 

All of these benefits are GREAT…

“But now… (Jesus Christ, THE LAST ADAM) is also Mediator of a BETTER COVENANT, which was established on BETTER PROMISES.” (Heb8:6)

 

And… being “in the likeness of HIS resurrection” (Rom6:5), that zoopoieo… the resurrection infusion of life… is activated within every fiber of our being… and all the OLD COVENANT promises listed above are fulfilled in a NEW AND LIVING WAY!

1.        Col2:13-14 “And you… He has MADE ALIVE  TOGETHER WITH HIM (suzóopoieó: To make alive together, to quicken together)  HAVING FORGIVEN you ALL trespasses, HAVING WIPED OUT the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He HAS TAKEN IT OUT OF THE WAY, HAVING NAILED it to the cross.”

2.        1Pet2:24 “…by whose stripes you WERE HEALED.”

3.          Eph2:5 “…even when we were dead in trespasses, (HE) MADE US ALIVE TOGETHER  WITH (suzóopoieó) Christ (by grace you have been SAVED [sozo: rescued, healed, get on well, prosper, be made whole])”

4.        Eph2:6-7 “…and RAISED us up together, and MADE us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

5.        Rom8:11 “…He who RAISED Christ Jesus from the dead will also *QUICKEN* [zóopoieó]  your MORTAL BODIES through His Spirit who dwells in you.”

 

 

YOU HAVE been made one with THE LAST ADAM, CHRIST (1Cor6:17)

YOU HAVE  life… and that more abundantly! (jn10:10)

YOU HAVE  zoopoieo - an infusion by THE SPIRIT of resurrection life through every cell of your mortal body (Rom8:11)

 

Rev3:11 “Hold fast what YOU HAVE, that no one may take your crown.”
