HIS TRAIN FILLS THE TEMPLE
HIS TRAIN FILLS THE TEMPLE
Isaiah 6:1 "In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up, and HIS TRAIN FILLED THE TEMPLE."
So… what does it mean to have HIS TRAIN FILL THE TEMPLE?
In many cultures, the length and design of a robe's train were directly proportional to the wearer's status, majesty, power, and glory. A long, elaborate train, often adorned with rich fabrics and embroidery, served as a visual representation of the king's wealth, authority, influence, and extent of his rule.
We also know that in the times of the Old Testament when kings would defeat their enemy, the conquering King would walk through the battleground and take the spoils for his men.
But the greatest recognition for a victorious king was signified when he would have either all, or a portion of the defeated king's robe cut off and then sewn onto the bottom of the end of his own. For a king in Old Testament times, the length of his robe would, therefore, be an indication of his greatness… i.e. the longer his robe, the more victories he had won, and the more kings he had defeated.
Do you realize how many kings and kingdoms had to have been conquered to have
HIS TRAIN FILL THE TEMPLE?
1Cor3:16 “Do you not know that you are THE TEMPLE of God?...”
It is interesting that the name “Uzziah” means: “my strength is Jehovah”…. Or… “the strength of Jah”.
So… as it says in Isa6:1…
…In the midst of all the turmoil… the storms… the battles… at a year and a time where all of the things you THOUGHT were the strength of God in your life… finally had no more rule… and they JUST DIED!
You finally see THE LORD …the ONLY ONE with right of decision…
HE, ALONE is seated upon a throne.
HE is high and lifted up.
All of the circumstances, situations, and problems are no longer in a place of prominence.
All of the dreams, desires, and ambitions fade in the light of His majesty, power, and dominion.
…When you see that ONLY “…the Most High rules in the kingdoms of men.” (Dan4:17,25,32)
THEN… HIS TRAIN…
HIS GLORY…
HIS MAJESTY…
HIS POWER…
HIS SPLENDOR…
FILLS THE TEMPLE…
YOU…
…ONCE AGAIN!
