LIKE WIND TOSSED WAVES

 

“If any of you lack wisdom,

let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not;

and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith,

nothing wavering.

For he that wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” (Jas1:5-8)

 

The picture the above verses portray is very intriguing.

 

It opens with the key to getting the insight, intelligence, skill, WISDOM we may greatly lack in any situation… or life, in general…

                  ASK!

It's already purchased and placed in your account…

Hence… a withdrawal.

 

But… when you make this withdrawal from this account created by your Heavenly Father just for you, giving you access to ALL your inheritance, sealed as a covenant by the blood of Jesus Christ…

1.         make it IN FAITH!

                                    (which is THE substance and evidence… PROOF…

                                    that ALL the promises of God are yes, and amen (2Cor1:20)

because you are seeing it from HIS perspective)

2.         NOTHING WAVERING

                                    It is also used in the following verses:

·       Rom4:19-20 Abraham “STAGGERED NOT at the promise of God

through unbelief”.

 

·       1Cor14:29 “Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other JUDGE.”

 

·       1Cor11:29-30 “not DISCERNING the Lord's body.

For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep (died)”

 

·       Mk11:22-23 “Have God faith. …whosoever shall say to this mountain,

Be removed, and be cast into the sea;

and shall not DOUBT in his heart,

but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass;

he shall have whatsoever he says.

 

Since we have been born again of the Spirit, we've been given a new heart (Eze11:19)

…a new center of our being… a new place generating wisdom and understanding in HIS knowledge (Eph1:17)…

…we now have the mind of Christ (1Cor2:16)

“enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge.” (2Cor1:5)

 

 

So… don't try to “figure it out”, mentally tossed back and forth by every wind…

           … “LET this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:” (Phil2:5)

 

 

THINK WITH HIS HEART!

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
