DESTROYED FOUNDATIONS


 

Ps11:3 “If the FOUNDATIONS are destroyed, What can the righteous do?”

 

What is the process of building a structure?

·       formulate a plan

·       excavate… get rid of all trash, rubble, unwanted trees, old FOUNDATIONS, and any signs of old buildings… you start with clean, bare earth.

·       stake out where the FOUNDATION will be… getting an overview and layout.

·       excavate for the FOUNDATION, making sure the depth and width of each footer is proportional to the height of the walls… and most importantly… going deep enough to find solid ground.

·       At last, you lay the FOUNDATION, making sure it is level and all of the allowances for plumbing, drainage, etc are in in place.

·       Once the FOUNDATION is secure… set… solid… FINALLY, you begin building on it.

 

The FOUNDATION is the most critical part of any structure. It’s depth and width determines the height you can build, and the stability during storms, earthquakes, wind… or just time.

 

Jesus explains the importance of a FOUNDATION… and even states in Lk6:46-49

"Everyone who comes to Me… HEARS My words AND ACTS on them… … is like a man building a house, WHO DUG DEEP and laid a FOUNDATION ON THE ROCK; and when a flood occurred, the torrent burst against that house and could not shake it… But the one who has heard and has not acted accordingly, is like a man who built a house on the ground [THE SAND Mtt7:26] without any FOUNDATION; and the torrent burst against it and immediately it collapsed..."

 

 

Isn't SAND simply finely crushed ROCK mingled with impurities… a mixture?

 

 

NOTE: The storm comes to BOTH houses

 

For what reason do the storms come?

                  …to try your faith (Jas1:2-3)

                  …to work patience in you (Jas1:3-4)

                  …to have YOUR FOUNDATION discovered (Eze13:10-14)

 

 

2Tim2:19 “Nevertheless the FOUNDATION OF GOD stands sure”

 

 

Heb6:1-3 “…The principles of the Christ’s doctrine…

…the FOUNDATION of:

·       repentance from dead works and faith toward God,

·       the doctrine of baptisms and laying on of hands,

·       resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment.

 

 

Almost every house gets wrecked during life’s storms because the FOUNDATION

 is either mingled, partially missing, or has been destroyed altogether.

 

 

Is your FOUNDATION sure?

 

 

Remember… 1Cor3:9-17… “you are God's building… the holy temple of God.

No other FOUNDATION can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is JESUS CHRIST.”

  THE DAILY LOAD   “Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah” (Ps68:19)   The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. The Perfect Will of God

  The Perfect Will of God   Rom12:2  “…Do not be CONFORMED to this WORLD , but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND , that you may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD .”   I was always taught that there were three different WILLS of God… And you are placed in one WILL or another determined by your maturity level, your faith, and your closeness to God.   However… let's dissect this verse to clearly see the intent behind each part.   ·        CONFORMED – properly means: assuming a similar  outward  form (expression) by following the same  pattern  (model, mold). ·        WORLD - properly, an  age  ( era , "time-span"),  characterized by a specific quality  (type) of existence ·        TRANSFORMED - metamorphóō - changing form or shape in keeping with a transformed inner reality...
