God Gives The Increase


 


GOD GIVES THE INCREASE

 

 

As our kids were growing up my wife and I did our best to “train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”  (Pr22:6)

 

We got to experience first hand the principle of sowing and reaping… and all of the processes in between of planting, watering, fertilizing, tending, pruning, and finally reaping a harvest.

 

As each child got older invariably they would burst in the door one day with a “revelation” so profound to them. Usually something they had just heard from someone else, or a situation had switched on a new light, illuminating their life path.

 

And… every time I wanted to say, “WE’VE been telling you THAT all along!”

 

 

1Cor3:6-7 “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.

So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters,

BUT GOD WHO GIVES THE INCREASE.”

 

Over the years of “ministry” multiple people have come to me and said, “why haven't you told me this before?”.

Well… I probably have…  

…but, as it says in Mk4 and Mtt13… the “seed” was the same… your soil - and the plant – were in a different state at that time.

 

 

Hos10:12 “Sow for yourselves RIGHTEOUSNESS; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the LORD…”

 

Gal6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.”

 

GOD always makes sure the “seed” is not only planted… but watered, fertilized until a tender plant appears… and still it is tended, watered, and even pruned to produce the best crop of fruit.

 

How many times did Jesus say to the people, “again I say…”?

At least 3 just in Matthew’s account.

 

 

Isa28:9-10 "Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message?... For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little."

 

 

SO… it doesn't matter who is sent to do whatever needs to be done to bring that plant to maturity…

IT IS HIS SEED… HIS plant…

             And HE chose YOU… the soil

              No one else gets the credit…


GOD GIVES THE INCREASE!

THE DAILY LOAD

  THE DAILY LOAD   “Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah” (Ps68:19)   The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. The Perfect Will of God

  The Perfect Will of God   Rom12:2  “…Do not be CONFORMED to this WORLD , but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND , that you may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD .”   I was always taught that there were three different WILLS of God… And you are placed in one WILL or another determined by your maturity level, your faith, and your closeness to God.   However… let's dissect this verse to clearly see the intent behind each part.   ·        CONFORMED – properly means: assuming a similar  outward  form (expression) by following the same  pattern  (model, mold). ·        WORLD - properly, an  age  ( era , "time-span"),  characterized by a specific quality  (type) of existence ·        TRANSFORMED - metamorphóō - changing form or shape in keeping with a transformed inner reality...
