ADAM, WHERE ARE YOU?


 


ADAM… WHERE ARE YOU?

 

 

Genesis 2:25 “And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were NOT ASHAMED.”

 

The Hebrew verb "bosh" [pronounced “boosh”] primarily conveys the sense of being ashamed or feeling shame. It often implies a sense of disappointment or embarrassment… feeling downcast… particularly in the context of unmet expectations or failure.

 

 

“GUILT is when you feel you've done something wrong.

SHAME is when you feel there is something wrong with you.”

“Now the serpent was more crafty (subtle, skilled in deceit) than any living creature of the field which the LORD God had made. And the serpent (Satan) said to the woman,

‘CAN IT REALLY BE

THAT GOD HAS SAID…?’” (Gen3:1AMP)

 

Satan has not had to change his m.o. since to beginning of time!

…and… why would he, if a statement like, "HAS GOD REALLY SAID..." still works today?

                 

 

Gen3:8-11 “And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day:

and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God…

And the Lord God called, ADAM, WHERE ARE YOU’?

And Adam said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I WAS AFRAID,

because I was naked;

and I HID MYSELF.

And GOD said,

‘WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED?’”

 

 

They had gone from being naked… without SHAME…

…to hiding in fear… feeling exposed… that there is something wrong with them.

 

 

Who keeps telling you there is something wrong with you?

Who keeps telling you that you are sinful… unforgiven… not holy… not righteous… not close to God

 Who makes us “self aware” rather than focusing on Christ and what He has done?

WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED?

 

 

THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU…

NOTHING FOR WHICH TO BE ASHAMED.

 

                                    I FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY FORMED YOU. (Ps139:13-18)

 

I CHOSE YOU! (Jn15:16)

 

I MADE YOU NIGH, by the blood of Jesus. (Eph2:13)

 

I MADE YOU the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2Cor5:21)

 

I CREATED YOU to walk in newness of life… (Rom 6:4)

 

 

 

Heb10:19,20,22

“Therefore, brethren, having BOLDNESS to enter the Holiest

by the blood of Jesus,

by a NEW AND LIVING WAY which He consecrated for us,

through the veil, that is, His flesh…

LET US DRAW NEAR with a true heart in full assurance of faith”

 

 

 

ADAM… WHERE ARE YOU?

THE DAILY LOAD

  THE DAILY LOAD   “Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah” (Ps68:19)   The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. The Perfect Will of God

  The Perfect Will of God   Rom12:2  “…Do not be CONFORMED to this WORLD , but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND , that you may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD .”   I was always taught that there were three different WILLS of God… And you are placed in one WILL or another determined by your maturity level, your faith, and your closeness to God.   However… let's dissect this verse to clearly see the intent behind each part.   ·        CONFORMED – properly means: assuming a similar  outward  form (expression) by following the same  pattern  (model, mold). ·        WORLD - properly, an  age  ( era , "time-span"),  characterized by a specific quality  (type) of existence ·        TRANSFORMED - metamorphóō - changing form or shape in keeping with a transformed inner reality...
