THE PRAYER OF FAITH

THE PRAYER OF FAITH

Jas5:13-16

“Is anyone among you suffering? …Let him PRAY.

Is anyone cheerful? …Let him sing psalms.

Is any sick among you? …Let him call for the elders of the church;

and let them PRAY over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

And THE PRAYER OF FAITH shall save the sick,

and the Lord shall raise him up;”

The word translated “PRAY” is proseuchomai”, which means “an intimate communication with God, exchanging your wishes, desires, and perspective for HIS” so you now speak from HIS perspective… declare HIS kingdom come and HIS will be done right here on THIS EARTH just like it is in Heaven!

So… Are you suffering?

Have “an intimate communication with God, exchanging your wishes, desires, and perspective for HIS” and DECLARE THAT

Are any of you sick?

Call for the elders and let them have “an intimate communication with God, exchanging their wishes, desires, and perspective for HIS” and they will DECLARE THAT!

AND WHAT “WILL SAVE (sozo – heal, preserve, get on well, prosper, make whole) THE SICK…

THE PRAYER OF FAITH

HMMMMMMM… what is that?

“PRAYER” – Greek: euche – a prayer comprising a vow; a prayer, vow

While it translated above as “PRAYER”, every other time it’s translated as “VOW” (Acts18:18;21:23)

And what is a “VOW”?

It is used throughout history as a solemn promise… an oath or pledge… often included in covenant… usually with God as witness…

Or in the case where God makes a vow… He swears by Himself, since there is no greater (Heb6:13)

“OF FAITH” tes pisteos: generative/imperative article making the following noun a possessive command… becoming “FAITH’S”

THE PRAYER OF FAITH” literally is “FAITH’S PROMISE OR VOW!

NOW FAITH IS the evidence and substance of seeing all things from God’s point of view… being seated in Christ at the right hand of the Father in Heavenly places (Heb11:1;Eph1:20;2:6)

WE NOW speak what HE believes… What HE has promised!... Declaring the covenant of God sealed in the blood of Jesus Christ over whatever situation before us!

THAT’S WHAT SAVES THE SICK!

THAT’S WHY THE LORD RAISES THEM UP!

IT’S HIS VOW!
