The Watchman


 


THE WATCHMAN

 

 

“Except YAHWEH build the house, they labour in vain that build it: 

except YAHWEH keep the city, the WATCHMAN waketh but in vain.” (Ps127:1)

 

 

Mtt5:14 

“You are the light of the world. 

A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”

 

 

YOU are the city our Father is guarding, protecting, and setting a WATCH OVER. 

 

 

Heb12:9AMPC

“…we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we yielded [to them] and respected [them for training us]. Shall we not much more cheerfully submit to the FATHER OF SPIRITS and so [truly] live?

 

 

Yahweh, God is the Father of Spirits. 

He, Himself, is your builder and maker, WATCHING, keeping, and continually breathing life into your Spirit man. 

 

 

Your spirit in turn is the WATCHMAN over your soul and subsequently… “bringing your body under” the rule of The Kingdom of God (1Cor9:27)

 

 

It is like you have twins in you. The Spirit and The Soul. 

 

 

Those twins “struggled against each other” even while still in the womb! (Gen25:22;Hos12:3)

 

 

Even though the firstborn is traditionally blessed with the inheritance… 

God, demonstrating HIS KINGDOM, emphatically states:

“THE ELDER SHALL SERVE THE YOUNGER” (Gen25:23;Rom9:12)

 

 

Your Soul (psuche – mind, will, emotions) is born FIRST. 

 

Your Spirit is second born… when born again. 

 

So, which is older… your soul or your spirit?

 

 

Which one is to rule?

 

 

BUT…  

 

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jer17:9)

 

 

So… what happens when you’re unaware your soul isn't listening to your spirit?

 

 

God has appointed WATCHMEN… 

…not over your spirit…

…that's HIS job…

…but over your SOUL (Heb13:17)

 

 

The word translated WATCHMAN is: episkopḗ  - derived from epí, "on, appropriately fitting” and skopéō, "look intently") – 

properly: to look on intently with apt concern appropriately fitting the "personal visitation."

 

 

It is also translated EXERCISING OVERSIGHT, OVERSEER, CARE FOR, VISITATION, SEE, INSPECT, LOOK DILIGENTLY, BISHOP

 

 

1Pet5:1-3

The elders which are among you I exhort…

·       FEED the flock of God, which is AMONG you,

·       TAKING THE OVERSIGHT thereof…

NOT AS LORDS OVER 

GOD’S HERITAGE

 

 

Their job:  point your SOUL accountable to “YOUR OWN MASTER, before whom you stand or fall.” (Rom14:4)

 

 

Therefore…

 

 

Heb13:17(literalGreek)

“Have confidence, 

trusting in those leading the way before you, 

don't resist, but yield…

for they… WATCH FOR YOUR SOULS, 

as they that must give account,

so, they may do it with joy, and not with grief…

thereby missing something essential for your completion.”

THE DAILY LOAD

  THE DAILY LOAD   “Blessed be the Lord Who daily loads us with benefits, The God of our salvation! Selah” (Ps68:19)   The word, “selah” is used throughout the Psalms and other Hebrew music and poetry as a notation similar to “a rest” in our modern music. The Perfect Will of God

  The Perfect Will of God   Rom12:2  “…Do not be CONFORMED to this WORLD , but be TRANSFORMED by the RENEWING of your MIND , that you may PROVE WHAT IS that GOOD and ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT WILL OF GOD .”   I was always taught that there were three different WILLS of God… And you are placed in one WILL or another determined by your maturity level, your faith, and your closeness to God.   However… let's dissect this verse to clearly see the intent behind each part.   ·        CONFORMED – properly means: assuming a similar  outward  form (expression) by following the same  pattern  (model, mold). ·        WORLD - properly, an  age  ( era , "time-span"),  characterized by a specific quality  (type) of existence ·        TRANSFORMED - metamorphóō - changing form or shape in keeping with a transformed inner reality...
