OLD COVENANT MENTALITY


 

OLD COVENANT MENTALITY

 

For some reason we have the propensity to continue to ask our Heavenly Father to do something. 

We are expecting Him to move on our behalf… to heal… to set free… to deliver… to somehow meet our needs at the time. 

We seem to still live in an Old Covenant mindset of a promise yet to come and be fulfilled, rather than to accept the fact that we now live in a New Covenant where the promise has already come… 

 

IT HAS BEEN FULFILLED… 

 

We have been delivered, healed, set free, prospered, made whole… 

it is not “to come” in the future sometime…

but is past tense… 

          IT HAS COME TO PASS!!!!... 

 

“Surely He hath!!!” (Eph1&2)



Christ HAS COME… and even though He will come again, this time it is not to be Messiah – Savior, deliverer, healer – THAT, He said, “…IS FINISHED!”


Let us, then, find out what has been provided for us in this New Testament in His Blood. Let us hold fast to that which we already have and start standing firm.


Satan comes to steal… 

…that means you already have it!


Satan comes to kill… 

…that means you already have life and THAT more abundantly.


Satan comes to destroy… 

…that means you already are a tabernacle, or dwelling place of The Most High God.


Satan comes immediately to steal the Word… 

…which means you already have the promise and inheritance written in the blood of Jesus Christ… but the enemy wants you to believe you don’t have any of it…. 

 

He wants to get you to doubt, nullifying in your mind, the provision already appropriated for your life. 

 

He wants you to believe that when Jesus Christ said, “IT IS FINISHED” it is a lie… 

          It is for some other time… 

          It is for someone else..  

          Or it is a reward for something you now must do.


The Old Covenant was always something that WAS TO COME.


The New Covenant is about what HAS ALREADY BEEN DONE… 

 

IT IS FINISHED!!!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
