CROWNED


I had an early morning dream In which

I was in charge of a ceremony for my wife, Connie. 


There was an urgency to accomplish what I was tasked to do as I ushered her through a seemingly endless crowd of people. 


Today was her coronation!


But… she was used to wearing an inconspicuous floral wreath of a young maiden or a thin, almost invisible, clear tiara.


I understood that until this point she had never known her destiny, value,  importance, relevance, heritage, lineage, or her place. I was very aware that even as the crown was to be placed on her head, she was unaware of just how much love the King had for her and what prominence she had in his heart… what esteem she already had in His eyes. 

 


We were still in the press of the crowd, when  I suddenly knew it was time… right then… right there… IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL THE PEOPLE!


Without fanfare, I untangled the worn garland of small flowers from her hair. 


People began to stop and turn attentively as I gently fitted a beautiful golden crown of glory on her head… identifying a Queen from amongst the people… one raised in obscurity, but finally her true identity revealed of power and authority in the Kingdom. 


As I awakened I realized the seriousness of my part in bringing my wife into that place. 


This also wasn’t just about my bride…

But HIS, as well. 


No matter how insignificant YOU have felt in life…


You were chosen. 


 “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee…” (Jer1:5)


“…I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain…”  (Jn15:16)


“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.” (Isa62:3)



Today is YOUR coronation. 



He is identifying you in the midst of the crowd, saying:


“NOW…

       …THIS IS WHO YOU ARE!”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
