Watch With Me





“Stay here and watch with Me.” ~ JESUS (Mtt26:38)

 

 

He also states in Matthew 6:22–23:

 

“The eye is the lamp of the body; 

 

so then if your eye is clear, 

[whole, good, sound, perfect…

Often referring to a single undecided focus without a secret double agenda.

Undistracted]  

 

your whole body will be full of light.

 

But if your eye is bad…

 

your whole body will be full of darkness.”

 

 

You were set as a WATCHMAN…

 

Primarily For your own life…

“Watch over your heart with all diligence,

For from it flows the springs of life”. (Prov4:23NASB)

 

 

THEN for your family… your job… etc. 

 

 

And as such:

 I will give you the keys (authority) of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind [forbid, declare to be improper and unlawful] on earth ]will have [already] been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose [permit, declare lawful] on earth will have [already] been loosed in heaven.” (Mtt16:19AMP)

 

 

“Watchman” doesn’t mean you have greater spiritual insight. 

 

 

Your placement by the KING allows you to see… 

It’s a post of observation…  

a vantage point from which to see all transpiring within, as well as outside the wall… 

anything approaching...  

whether friend or foe. 

 

 

Where is that place of observation?

 

 

“God… hath raised us up… and made us sit together (at His right hand) in heavenly places in Christ Jesus”  (Eph1:20;2:4-6)

 

 

It is imperative to see from HIS PERSPECTIVE!

 

 

Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish”

 

 

If my eye be not whole…

My body…

My family…

My business…

My life…

Will be in darkness…

And perish. 

 

 

“… If the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, 

he would have watched, and not allowed his house to be broken into..” (Mtt24:43)

 

 

THEREFORE:

 

 

 “I will stand on my guard post

And station myself on the rampart;

And I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me…

(Hab2:1-2)

 

 

“I speak

that which I have seen

WITH my Father.” (Jn8:38)

 

 

“Watch and pray…”  (Mtt26:41;Mk:13:33;14:38;Lk21:36;Eph6:18)

 

 

“What I say unto you… 

I say unto all…

Watch.”  (Mk13:37)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
