The River From The Throne

 

 

Rev 22:1 speaks of a “pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of Yahweh and of the Lamb”

 

 

Ezekiel 40-48 describes Ezekiel’s vision of a man with a line in his hand, measuring and describing the temple and surrounding area. 

 

 

Chapter 47 specifically chronicles waters flowing “out from under the threshold of the house eastward.”

 

 

 (vs 1).  At first thousand cubits it is only ankle deep… the next, knee deep… another thousand… loin deep… and finally waters deep enough to swim in… “a river that could not be passed over” (vs 5). 

 

 

We always seem to be looking for the river of God flowing forth from His throne so we can hop in and flow with Him. 

 

 

BUT….

 

 

“Know ye not that YOU ARE THE TEMPLE OF GOD…?”  (1 Cor 3:16)

 

 

“Out of (YOUR) belly shall flow RIVERS of living water”. (Jn 7:38)

 

 

NOW…

 

 

Read the rest of Ezekiel 47. 

 

 

THAT river which flows OUT OF YOU, the temple of the Most High:

 

 

·       Causes desert places to live once again (vs8)

·       Flows into Dead Seas that will be healed, thrive and produce (vs8)

·       Makes everything live and be healed (vs9)

·       Will bring forth a great multitude of fish because of the healing waters  (vs9,10)

·       Shall cause Fisherman (people making a living) to once again prosper because YOU FLOW THERE (vs10)

·       Will cause Trees of righteousness, the planted of the Lord (Isa 61:3) to grow beside YOUR river, which shall have Perpetual fruit for all seasons and non-withering leaves for medicine (vs12)

 

 

You shall inherit the land wherever your river flows (vs13-23)

 

 

Completing this whole vision of:

·       who you are as HIS Temple…

·       What HE causes to mightily flow forth from you…

·       What impact your life has on EVERYONE and your surroundings.

 

 

Ezekiel 48:35 concludes by saying, “and the name of the city from that day [and ever after] shall be, [Jehovah Shammah] ‘The Lord is There’.” 

 

 

You bring HIS PRESENCE. 

 

 

You are sent… just as Christ…

 

 

“…THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE, 

 

 

AND THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE IT MORE ABUNDANTLY”  (John 10:10)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
