The Mustard Seed
The Mustard Seed
I have probably sent something similar before, but awakened with this tumbling as fresh water over the rubble in my mind.
It seems as though we lament that we don't have enough faith and continually strive to get more in various ways.
We fast more… pray more… study more… praise more… even quote the same scriptures over and over while in certain situation… attempting to maybe get enough faith to make something happen.
In Luke 17 When the disciples said, "Lord, increase our faith"...
He didn't respond, "SURE!”
Instead, He said,
"If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed,
ye might say unto this sycamine tree,
Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea;
and it should obey you"
Gal 2:20
“I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live;
yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me:
and the life which I now live in the flesh
I live by THE FAITH OF the Son of God,
who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
If I am indeed crucified with Christ...
and now resurrected IN HIM...
to try to live according to MY faith while living IN someone else, would cause quite an internal conflict.
If I am living IN someone else, I must live by what THEY BELIEVE, lest there be a division.
So... the life that I now live in the flesh I must, indeed live "BY the faith OF the Son of God" - Christ ...
for it is "in Him we live, and move, and have our being"
Acts 17:28
I do not have to try to work up, attain, conjure, or otherwise gain FAITH.
I simply now find out what HE believes about the situation, circumstance, decision, etc...
and LIVE BY THAT...
WE LIVE BY HIS FAITH.
If I am in Christ... and He in me... resurrected as one... seated at the right hand of the Father in Heavenly places... then "God hath dealt to every man THE measure of faith"
Rom 11:3
A seed grows into the likeness from which it came...
so...
USE YOUR MUSTARD SEED!!!
