THE BATTLEGROUND



"and the very God of PEACE sanctify you WHOLLY; and I pray God your whole. SPIRIT AND SOUL AND BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is He that calleth you, who also WILL DO IT" (1Thess5:23-24)
Preserved - to guard from loss or injury, to keep eye upon;hold fast, keep, watch


Heb10:38-39. "But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe TO THE SAVING OF THE SOUL"



We usually fight for something UNTIL we SEE IT MANIFEST IN OUR EARTH… And when we don’t, we say, "oh, I'm still believing... It WILL happen..."


BUT… we are NOT of those who believe until we see the saving (sozo - healed, make whole, prosper, get on well, delivered) of the body...... 

And the Spirit man is already saved - when born again!


WE ARE OF THEM THAT BELIEVE TO..... (Wait for it....) THE SAVING  OF THE SOUL (psuche - mind, will, emotions).


3Jn1:2 "Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, EVEN AS THY SOUL PROSPERETH"

EVEN AS - to the same degree and measure in which…



 2Cor10:3-5 explains the field of battle in which you win....

"For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: ... Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity EVERY THOUGHT to the obedience of Christ."


Thoughts, imaginations, knowledge... the realm of the soul... Not the spirit, nor the body. 

The soul is the arena in which you are shaken or moved if you do not see "it" happening. 

The soul is the vehicle that takes you on the journey through a plethera of scenerios that MIGHT… come to pass. 

 

Christ spoke to Peter about this after the stumbled attempt to walk on water, when He said, "wherefore didst thou doubt (hesitate… halt between two opinions… THINK twice about it)?"

 

So… how do we win in this battle?



"... receive with meekness the ENGRAFTED WORD, which is able to SAVE YOUR SOULS." Jas 1:21

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
