Out of The Abundance of The Heart




 “Out of the abundance of the heart 

the mouth speaks” (Mtt12:34;Lk6:35)

 

 

If you are continually speaking about how bad the government is… guess what is in your heart in abundance?

 

 

Do you really believe THE MOST HIGH rules in the kingdoms of men?

 

 

Not by the way you are speaking. 

 

 

If a person consistently talks about how wrong everyone else is…

how they are not adhering to how “IT” SHOULD BE DONE…

 

…and how they, themselves are the only ones doing it properly…

 

everyone within earshot knows what is in the abundance of that person’s heart…

Pride, the letter of the law, condemnation, self-righteousness…

Self-Justification …

always having to prove something to themselves, to God, and to others. 

 

 

Whenever a person is around… what do they speak?

 

Whatever is in abundance in their heart. 

 

 

Why are we so desperate to prove our correctness… or what we “KNOW”?

 

 

The heart of man is deceitful and desperately wicked in all its ways, who can know it? (Jer17:9)

 

 

 

The ONLY thing that can discern properly what transpires in the heart is the WORD of God. 

Heb4:12

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

 

 

The WORD is the ONLY thing powerful enough to separate and distinguish what is of the soul…

And what is of the Spirit.. 

 

What are just thoughts…

And what are the intents of the heart. 

 

 

I am crucified with Christ: 

 

(What do the opinions of a dead man have anything to do with… ANYTHING?)

 

·      nevertheless I live; 

·      yet not I, 

·      but Christ lives in me:

·      The life I now live in this flesh I live by the faith OF the Son of God (from the perspective of Christ) seated in Him at the right hand of the Father in Heavenly places (Gal2:20)

 

 

How HE sees life 

…Thinks

…and believes

…is now in my heart in abundance. 

 

 

CHRIST IN ME…

 

 

And out of the abundance of HIS HEART

…my mouth speaks.

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
