Ministering The Spirit
MINISTERING THE SPIRIT
“He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” (Gal3:5)
Ministereth to you THE SPIRIT!
You are not ministering a sermon… a message… a song… a scripture… a prophecy.
You are ministering THE SPIRIT!…
A PERSON…
THE ONE who raised Christ from the dead…
Dwelling in you…
Quickening your mortal body…
the same Spirit who brooded over the face of the deep…
when God said… “let there be…”
AND IT WAS!
MINISTER HIM!!!
The word ministereth is translated from a very interesting Greek word: “Epichoregeo “.
…from which we get the English word “choreography “.
It is a conjunction of “epi” (meaning over)
And choregeo - the chorus, the round dance, or party.
So together: watching over the dance or chorus… facilitating the party – to accommodate, supply or furnish generously as would a host.
The husband, Christ, leads the dance.
We are watching over the dance HE is doing…
facilitating HIS bride’s dance with HIM!!!
WE speak to THAT dance… sing to THAT dance… help the bride… dance.
As a son of God, led by the Spirit of God… I must first dance with my Husband… in faith… THEN help His Bride follow.
Mtt11:28-30MSG
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion?
Come to me.
Get away with me and you'll recover your life.
I'll show you how to take a real rest.
Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it.
Learn THE UNFORCED RHYTHMS OF GRACE.
I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you.
Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
David was a cunning and skillful player. (1Sam16:16-18)
Skillful is something we understand…
well rehearsed and prepared for any task.
…knows all the notes, words, and moves…
But “CUNNING”…
…simply means the ability to play to the Spirit.
David’s skilled playing of the harp didn’t still the devils troubling Saul…
It was his ability to play to the spirit…
He didn’t just know the songs
or how to play them,
but knew the dance of the Spirit…
MOVED WITH…
AND MINISTERED HIM.
