Let This Mind



 “LET" … it seems like such an insignificant little word.  However, the depth of meaning is so much more than we think as we skim over it in a sentence.

 

Definition:  to allow or permit

 

“ LET this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus? (Phil 2:5)

Allow… permit yourself to have the same mind as the Messiah… to think as HE thinks… to believe as HE believes… to see and understand things from HIS perspective. 

 

1 Corinthians 2:16  For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? BUT WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. (The MESSIAH)

 

If indeed “CHRIST, THE MESSIAH is in you… the hope of glory” (Col 1:27), then allow yourself to think like HIM.

 

He is not living a crucified life… HE IS THE RESURRECTION AND THE LIFE. (Jn 11:25).

 

HE is resurrected… and we are resurrected with /in Him.

And we have the same Spirit that raised The Messiah from the dead, alive and at work in us… quickening… making whole… infusing every fiber of our being with life and vitality.

 

Romans 6:5  For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

 

Our whole view has always been just trying to suffer through this life until I get to my little cabin on the outskirts of glory.

 

Our life has been stolen from us by a lie that has come to steal the WORD.

 

HE came that we might have life and that we might have it MORE ABUNDANTLY.

NOW… HE SENDS YOU!  In His place..  in His name… with the same authority… in power, might, strength and dominion… to do exactly as HE would do in any situation… and even MORE than anything we could imagine Him doing (Jn 14:12)

 

He sends you… that THEY might have life… and that they might have it more abundantly. 

 

So… allow yourself to think the way He thinks… believe the way He believes.

 

Colossians 1:27  … Christ (The Messiah) in you, the hope of glory:

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
