Fighting the REAL Enemy




Sometimes there appears to be certain people in our lives who desire to make it their mission to put us down, destroy our credibility…. Or… are just mean.

 

In frustration we pray for them, letting our Father know how much pain we're in and how bad the situation is – as though He is glancing aside and possibly missing all of it.

 

One thing He has continually pointed out to me in these situations: THEY are NOT the ENEMY.

 

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places”. (Eph 6:12)

 

The enemy loves to keep us battling flesh and blood - other people - while he stays hidden behind the scenes pulling the strings like a great puppet master. 

 

HOWEVER, OUR WEAPONS are NOT carnal... flesh and blood... and these weapons, are MIGHTY THROUGH GOD to the pulling down of strongholds... casting down imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the knowledge of God (2 Cor 10:4-5).  

 

Take the fight to the real enemy.

 

OUR authority AND weaponry are specifically designed for this battle.

 

Paul used to argue daily in the temple, without much success. He finally came to the place where he said, " And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing (trying to convince) words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God." (1 Cor 2:4-5)

 

You can not argue with a demon… 

nor can you convince someone under the influence of one.

 

Instead of speaking the problem to God... speak FOR HIM OVER THEM AND THE SITUATION....speak what He believes.  You have the authority to speak to that mountain and to tell it to be removed and cast into the sea... and... if you do not doubt in your heart... you SHALL HAVE whatsoever you say. (Mk 11:22-26)

 

Sometimes all the Father is looking for is someone who will speak for Him

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
