Endued With Power






ENDUED WITH POWER


Acts1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.


Baptized:- from a Greek Word meaning to suffuse; to be immersed in something as to be “waterlogged”, so that when pulled out, it oozes from every fiber of your being


Acts1:8  But you shall receive POWER, after the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.


We didn’t get baptized in the Holy Ghost for tongues… nor prophecy… nor for any of the other ways He manifests as told in 1Cor12…. Nor for any of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as outlined in Romans12.  

 

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry in the city of Jerusalem, until you are ENDUED WITH POWER from on high.” (Lk24:49)

 

We were baptized in HIM to be “ENDUED (clothed or cloaked as in a robe) WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH” 

Imagine…

You are clothed in…

Cloaked with…

Infused with the very life, presence, and power of…

…The very same SPIRIT who raised Christ from the dead (Rom8:11)

…the same SPIRIT who brooded over the face of the waters in the very beginning 

… so that when GOD said…

… there was!!! (Gen1)

 


We were clothed in power to be a witness… 

So suffused  with the Spirit of might, power, strength, wisdom, and understanding…

that it oozes from every cell of our body… 

demonstrating evidence and proof beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand… 

right here… 

right now… 

within you. (Lk17:21)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
