Crucified With Christ



 I know I have shared this before, but was asked a question last night about whether faith is something we are given, or just expected to have.

 

One of the verses that helped me understand the whole process better than anything else was... Galatians 2:20  "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith OF ... OF ... OF the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. "

 

IF I DIED... and came back to life INSIDE of Someone else... I could not live MY life anymore... I am dead. MY FAITH, nor what I believed about anything would not make any difference. If I tried to live by who I WAS, I would cause a big war inside YOU. 

I simply NOW live by who HE is and what HE believes. ONE OF US HAS TO LAY DOWN OUR LIFE AND REALLY DIE OR THERE IS A MAJOR CONFLICT IN HOW TO LIVE. 

 

So it is with Christ... I am crucified with Him... yet, I live... 

the war rages on because NOW... inside of me... is Christ - the MESSIAH - and my own mind, will, and belief system...

"but yet, not I... but CHRIST lives in me."  

If I can say, like Paul, that "I die daily", so that Christ may live IN ME... the battle would cease... there would be ONE LORD in this body...

 

And... the life that I NOW LIVE IN THIS FLESH... I live by HIS faith... I AM DEAD... crucified with HIM...

Now I simply find out what HE believes about the finances... the situation... this body (which is now the temple of the Holy Spirit)... and LIVE BY THAT. I no longer have to try to “have faith”, nor work it up... nor increase it... 

“The life which I now live in the flesh I live BY THE FAITH OF the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. “

 

It is a lot easier to live by HIS faith than try to keep building my own

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
