All Authority



Luke 10:19  Behold, I give unto you power (exousia - authority) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power (dunamis – miraculous might or ability) of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

For years this has been a verse which has kept my footing solid whenever things around me have appeared to be a little shaky.  I am always reminded that no matter how powerful, how disastrous,  how painful, or how destructive the situation brought by an enemy who always seeks to steal, kill and destroy…… I have been given authority over it!

This authority is not something for which I have to request… it is not something to be gained by more prayer, study, or fasting…  nor is it something for which I must perform certain tasks to gain more acceptance or approval of my Father.

I HAVE BEEN GIVEN IT.

I already have it.

Christ even believes I have it.

Matthew 28:18–19 “All power (exousia – authority) is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore…”

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me… now I am sending you… in my place… in my name… in the very same authority I have right now… to heal the sick… to raise the dead… to make the lame walk and blind see… to deliver people out of the power of darkness and clutches of satan… to set the captive free and let them know that the Kingdom of God is at hand..  right here… right now… within you.

This is what HE believes!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
