Who Are You?




 WHOOOOO ARE YOU?

WHO… WHO?

WHO… WHO?

 

 

In the deep recesses of your heart…

When you’re alone with your thoughts…

When you look in the mirror…

 

 

Who do you really believe you are?

 

 

“For as he thinks within himself, so is he…” (Pr 23:7 TPT)

 

 

The problem is that up until now we have lived being told of our human limitations. 

 

 

We have been lied to by an enemy who wants us to believe that we are not worthy… not righteous… not holy… not “doing it right”…   still are a sinner… still captive… not yet an heir… not yet a son of God…  

 

1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

 

 

“…(As) children, (we) were in bondage under the elements of the world” (Gal 4:3)

 

 

Hebrews 12:1  let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience (hupomone- constant, cheerful, consistency) the race that is set before us

 

 

“… The heir, AS LONG AS HE IS A CHILD, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;  But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father”. (Gal 4:1-2)

 

 

We still think like a servant… like a child. 

 

 

We still think it is not the “time appointed of the Father”.

 

 

We believe we must continue learning servant hood, maturing into the right to inherit the promises. 

 

 

BUT…

 

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: 

but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” (Jn15:15)

 

 

“But when the fulness of the time was come…”

 

 

THE FULNESS OF THE TIME WAS COME!

 

 

“…God sent forth his Son… that we might receive the adoption of sons”. (Gal 4:4–5)

 

 

“Wherefore thou art no more a servant, 

 

 

but a son; 

 

 

and if a son, 

 

 

then an heir of God through Christ.” (Gal 4:7)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
