The Big Lie



 

 

THE BIG LIE.

A lie… 

no matter the size… 

no matter the type or style…

no matter how you dress it up…

is still generated from the same source…

 

 

Satan. 

 

 

“…because there is no truth in him…

for he is a liar…

and the father of it.”

(Jn8:43-45)

 

 

One of the strategies satan uses is to take whatever he is trying to feed you with, mix it with what God has said… to make it palatable. 

 

 

He sows enough lying seed to establish doubt that the Word of God will produce its promise in our life. 

 

 

“I am the LORD…

…You shall not sow thy field 

with mingled seed…” (Lev19:18-19)

 

 

The Old covenant, as a shadow of things to come, states the importance of a pure seed developing a crop in YOUR soil producing after THE WORD in His likeness and image. 

 

 

The Big Lie is something satan had to tell himself first… believes it… and now attempts to convince the rest of the world…

 

“I WILL BE LIKE THE MOST HIGH!” (Isa14:14)

 

 

 

Satan approaches with the same subtle question as in the garden, “Hath God Said?”, bringing into question the integrity of Our Father…

 

And then sets himself up AS GOD…

With his lying symptoms… 

…and show of false power…

 

In us… the temple of God… (1Cor3:16)

 

… to show HIMSELF that, yes, indeed… he is god… (1Thess2:4)

 

The ONE with right of decision…

Ruling and reigning. 

 

 

Satan doesn’t want you knowing THE TRUTH!

 

 

Because…

 

 

“you shall know the truth, and the truth shall MAKE you free.” (Jn8:32)

 

 

“Sanctify them with thy truth… THY WORD IS TRUTH” (Jn17:17)

 

 

“Jesus said… I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life.” (Jn14:6)

 

 

We are resurrected in… have an intimate relationship with… ONE “WHO CANNOT LIE” (Titus1:2)

 

 

The purpose of the lie:

Keep us from a relationship with THE TRUTH, HIMSELF. 

 

 

BUT…

 

 

We are in THE TRUTH. 

 

 

And HE IS IN US!

CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
