Ruling The Night

 RULING THE NIGHT

1 Cor 15 speaks about different types of glory. The sun has one glory… the moon another… the stars, a different one yet. Each entity having its own unique glory… its ability to shine forth and bring light… a certain specific dignity or honor.

Christ said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:

the night cometh, when no man can work

As long as I am in the world,

I am the light of the world.”

(Jn 9:4-5)

While HE was here amongst us, as the light of the world,

it was day…

but… night comes when no man can work.

Life can’t be with works of righteousness WE have done.

Since He is not here, physically…

we are in the night…

and no man can work

Yet He says in Mt 5:14, “you are the light of the world, a city on a hill that can not be hid”

So… how does THAT work?

“God made two great lights;

the greater light to rule the day,

and the lesser light to rule the night…” Gen 1:16

If HE is the light of the world that rules the day…

WE WERE CREATED TO RULE THE NIGHT.

And how does the moon rule the night?

To the degree in which it reflects the sun!

The moon has no light of its own.

As we reflect THE LIGHT OF CHRIST, we shine light into all the darkness and rule our night.

What’s a lunar eclipse?  When the world gets between the sun and the moon, and the moon no longer reflects the light.

RULE THE NIGHT!

Be a full reflection of the sun into a world of darkness.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”  Mt 5:16

Jn 2:8. Again, a new commandment I write unto you,

which thing is true in him and in you:

because the darkness is past,

and the true light now shineth…

“CHRIST IN YOU, THE HOPE OF GLORY” (Col 1:27)
