Remember Not the Former Things
Isa 43:28-29
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I have often heard the saying, "If you fail to plan, you will plan to fail"..
Goal setting...Purpose driven Plans and Projections are all well and good,
but we are often making all of these in the light of what WE KNOW.
We go to The Tree of The Knowledge of Good and Evil,
write out our lists of "pros and cons"
and then make a "sound decision" based on a system and a tree that Our Father says, “that when you partake of it... you die.”
Prov 14:12; 16:25
There is a way which SEEMETH RIGHT unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
What if God wants to build or do something HIS way... so that when HE builds it, the gates of hell will not prevail against it?
What if He wants to show us HIS way to build the dog house, rather than building according to what I have always known or seen a dog house to be? (ie: an igloo rather than a gabled little house)
Sometimes He promised something to us while we are still Jacob, but forms us into Israel before that Word becomes flesh.
Isa 9:8
The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel.
Isa 43:1
But now thus saith the LORD that CREATED thee, O JACOB, and he that FORMED thee, O ISRAEL…
As Jacob (supplanter/deceiver) we overlay what we know onto the promise… attempting to perform it.
This is a NEW THING.
You have not seen this before.
He will form you into that word to be fulfilled.
"...The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this." (Isa 9:7)
Let HIM work in you that Tree of Life...
Colossians 3:15 “…let the peace of God rule in your hearts…”
Philippians 3:13–14 “…this one thing I do,
forgetting those things which are behind…
I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
