Overcoming The Dragon

 OVERCOMING THE DRAGON

Revelation 12:9–11

“And the GREAT DRAGON was thrown down,

the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan…

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,

NOW

·       the salvation,

·       the power,

·       and the kingdom of our God

·       and the authority of His Christ

·       HAVE COME,

·       for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down,

he who accuses them before our God day and night.

“And they overcame him by

·       the blood of the Lamb

·       the word of their testimony,

·       and they loved not their life even unto death.”

So…

What is THE DRAGON in your life?

How do YOU overcome him and whatever he is using to disqualify you?

1.      THE BLOOD OF THE LAMB

“…we have redemption THROUGH HIS BLOOD.” (Eph1:7)

“Jesus… sanctified the people WITH HIS OWN BLOOD.” (Heb13:12)

“…and washed us from our sins IN HIS OWN BLOOD” (Rev1:5)

BY HIS OWN BLOOD he… obtained eternal redemption for us” (Heb9:12-14)

2.     THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY

“You shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and you shall be WITNESSES unto me” (Acts1:8)

“Jesus… to which we are all WITNESSES.” (Acts2:32)

Confession  [homologeo – to speak the same as the WORD (thought, intent, purpose, motive behind what is spoken)] Is made unto salvation.”   (Rom10:10)

The only effective weapon is THE SWORD OF THE ONE WHO MADE HIM. (Job40:19)

“Take… the SWORD of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD: Praying always…” (Eph6:17-18)

“For the WORD OF GOD is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword…” (Heb4:12)

3.     LOVING NOT THEIR LIFE UNTO DEATH

“Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.” (Lk17:33)

“Reckon yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God through Christ.” (Rom6:11)

“If you through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the body, you shall live.” (Rom8:13)

“I am crucified with Christ:

nevertheless I live;

YET, NOT I,

but Christ lives in me:

and the life which I now live in the flesh

I live by the faith

OF the Son of God…” (Gal2:20)
