It Came To Pass


 


IT CAME TO PASS…

Those are my favorite four words in the Bible.

“IT CAME TO PASS”

 

Many times throughout my life calamity would make it appear as though everything would come crashing down around me.

Something would happen on the job… or at home with the family

…I would remember that little phrase and it would calm my anxious thoughts.

“…IT CAME TO PASS”

It didn’t come to stay…

…IT CAME…

…TO PASS.

 

It is like the weather in Texas. If you don’t like it right now…

Wait 10 minutes…

…IT CAME TO PASS

 

 

When affliction and persecution arise for the WORD’S sake (Mk4:17;Mtt13:21)…

…Be anxious for nothing. (Phil4:6)

          …IT CAME TO PASS

 

“When various trials come to our lives…

…count it all joy…”

          …IT CAME TO PASS

 

“For the trying of your faith works ‘constant, cheerful, consistency’ (patience) in you.” (Jas1:2,3)

 

 

Remember: “…You are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” (Col3:3)

 

Lam3:22-23

“It is of THE LORD’S MERCIES that we are not consumed,

because his compassions fail not.

They are NEW EVERY MORNING:

great is thy faithfulness.”

 

2Cor5:17

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ,

he is a new creature (one that never existed before)…

Old things are passed away

Behold, All things are become new” (2Cor5:17)

 

·       Old things “are” (continual present state of being)

·       “passed away (past tense, made of no current consequence, dead)

·       Behold (look intently, observe and consider),

·       ALL THINGS (all things)

·       “are” (continual present state of being)

·       “become” (future continuously and actively established as being)

·       NEW!

 

Old things are just that…

…OLD THINGS…

…continually in the process

of being passed away…

So… look intently and consider that ALL THINGS…

…are actively

in the perpetual process

of becoming NEW!

 

…IT CAME TO PASS!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
