He Has Nothing in Me


 

HE HAS NOTHING IN ME. 

 

 

“…for the ruler of this world is coming, 

and he has nothing in Me.”

(John14:30)

 

 

Satan doesn’t always have to come with a new word, temptation, thought, etc… He knows how to fish for us… We took the bait awhile ago! 

He simply tests that line a little, assuring himself we are still on the hook…

… and then goes on his way confident he has something in us.

 

 

So… how do we remove this seed satan has sown that has become a hook in our jaw enabling him to take us captive at his will? (2Tim2:26)

 

 

1.     Plant the WORD as a seed in our heart to get a crop producing the nature and Will of Our Father in our life

Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

 

2.     ABIDE IN HIM. 

Be found in HIM. (Phil3:9)

“…put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ…” (Rom13:14)

 

3.     “Make no provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof” (Rom13:14)

We keep nothing… nor make place for anything enabling us to continue on that path. . 

“Neither give place to the devil.” (Eph4:27)

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices”. (2Cor2:11)

 

 

4.     “…by the Spirit put to death the deeds of the body…

…You will live.”  (Rom8:13-14)

As you look in the mirror of the Word and see your own natural (Genesis) face you will naturally do who you believe you are. (James1:21-23)

“As he thinks in his heart, so is he” (Prov23:7)

 

5.     “Finally, my brethren…

be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might”.

Making sure we keep every aspect of the armor of God intact so we can “stand against the wiles of the devil” (Eph6:10-11)

 

 

THEREFORE…

 

 

“…let us lay aside every weight, 

 

and the sin which doth so easily beset us, 

 

and let us run with patience (constant, cheerful consistency )

 

the race that is set before us, 

 

Looking unto Jesus 

 

the author and finisher of our faith.” (Heb12:1-2)

CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”.
