GRASSHOPPERS IN THEIR SIGHT

 

Who are you… really?

 

Are you a person trying to get free from the clutches of an enemy lurking in every shadow to ensnare you?

 

Or… are you a New Creature in Christ… a son of the living God… birthed in freedom and brought forth in power and strength, then sent forth with ALL AUTHORITY to demonstrate the Kingdom of our Father, ruling and reigning “IN LIFE as one in Christ Jesus"? (Rom 5:17)

 

And… how do you see the enemy?

Do you see him as a giant, able to do to you whatever he desires… terrorizing… boldly attacking whenever and wherever he wants, with no repercussions or consequences?

 

Lucifer says, “I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.” (Isa 14:13-14)

 

But… “WE SHALL NARROWLY LOOK UPON HIM [LUCIFER] AND SAY,

“Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms?” (Isa 14:16-23)

 

In Num13:27-33 Moses sent people ahead to report back on how to proceed to possess the land that was promised.

 

They said: "We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey… Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there...

Then Caleb quieted the people and said, "Let us go up AT ONCE and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it."

But the men who had gone up with him said, "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we."

“…there were giants in the land…

and we were IN OUR OWN SIGHT as grasshoppers,

AND SO WE WERE IN THEIR SIGHT.”

 

You are to possess ALL THE PROMISES of God. (2Cor1:20)

 

How do you see yourself?

…as weak or insignificant?...

...or do you see yourself as your Father, the King sees you...

·       as a son...

·       as a mighty warrior...

·       as one who always destroys the works of the devil and vanquishes the enemy in total victory?!!!? [God always leads us forth in triumph in Christ! (2Cor2:14)]

 

THE ENEMY SEES YOU… AS YOU SEE YOU.

 

If you see yourself as grasshoppers,

you will also be…

GRASSHOPPERS IN THEIR SIGHT.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
