GET WHERE YOU FIT!

 

 

Have you spent most of your life trying to fit into a church group or ministry…

But…No matter how hard you try…you don’t fit?

 

 

PROBLEM:  relating to an organization versus interpersonal relationship. 

 

 

“Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.” (1Cor12:27)

 

“God set the members… in the body, as it hath pleased him.” (1Cor12:18)

 

 

Ezekiel 37 paints a detailed picture of how HE does it:

 

The Lord set Ezekiel, “down in the midst of the valley full of (very dry) bones…” (Ezek37:1-2)

 

“…they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts”. (Eze37:11)

 

 

·       Prophesy, ”bones come together”

 

 

·       Verse 7: “…the bones came together, bone to its bone.”

They weren’t just piled together…

“BONE TO ITS BONE” – relating properly to the adjoining bone, to fit and function.

 

 

·       Verse 8: “…sinews came up upon them.” 

Sinews hold bones together, forming a joint.

 

“…the head, Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted 

by that which every JOINT supplieth, 

according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, 

maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” (Eph4:15-16)

 

IT IS THE JOINT THAT SUPPLIES… not the bone by itself!

 

“…the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands

having nourishment 

ministered, 

and knit together, 

increaseth with the increase of God”. (Col2:19)

 

 

·       Verse 8: “…and flesh grew upon them”

…muscle and tissue for mobility, vitality, and work. 

 

 

·       Verse 8: “…and skin covered them…”

Encasing the whole unified assembly. 

. 

 

·       Verse 8: “…BUT, there was no breath in them.”

 

 

·       Verse 9-10: “THEN He said unto me, Prophesy unto the wind

…that they may live. 

So I prophesied as he commanded, 

and breath came into them, 

and they lived, 

and stood upon their feet, 

an exceeding great army.

 

 

Want to be an army?

 

 

Trust God’s voice… 

find bones with which you fit… 

…knit with them.

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
