COVENANT KEEPERS

 

 

People don’t understand “COVENANT” anymore. . 

 

 

There are married “believers” where one spouse has decided they want someone else… something else… or just don’t want to be married anymore…. Because they are unhappy. 

 

 

Hmmmmmmmm

 

 

They must’ve forgotten they have the Spirit of Jesus Christ who says, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Heb13:5)

 

 

Rom1:21-31

“…although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, 

but became futile in their thoughts, 

and their foolish hearts were darkened.

…Professing to be wise, they became fools

…who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, 

·      Without understanding 

·      COVENANT BREAKERS, 

·      without natural affection,

·      implacable (relentless, stern, unappeasable, unforgiving.)

·      unmerciful”

 

 

“COVENANT BREAKERS”

…not keeping covenant, untrue to agreements, treacherous.

 

from: “a” (as a negative) and a derivative of “suntithemai”;  

Sun- to mix together

Tithemi- to set, fix, establish permanently; to ordain

 

 Literally… “against being permanently set together… with anything”

 

 

HOWEVER…

WE are to demonstrate the mystery of marriage (Eph5:32)…

Our lives known and read of ALL men (2Cor3:2)… 

Demonstrating Christ’s loving interaction with… HIS Bride… 

·      Ever-lives to make intercession for her (Heb7:25)

·      Lives to serve and not be served (Mtt20:28;Mk10:45)

·      The words He speaks to her are Spirit and Life (Jn6:63)

·       He lays down His life (mind, will, emotions, ambitions, desires, goals)... so she can live (Mk10:45 Jn10:11-17;1Jn3:16)

·      With her… that she might have life and that more abundantly (Jn10:10)

 

And how the Bride of Christ responds to Him…

submitting to Him as her head…

…loves and honors her Husband

…respecting Him. (Eph5:22-33)

 

…Thinking with HIS heart (1Cor2:16)

 

 

YOU ARE ONE. (Mtt19:5;Mk10:8;Eph5:31)

 

 

COVENANT says… 

YOUR ENEMIES ARE MY ENEMIES…

ALL THAT I HAVE… 

ALL THAT I AM…

IS YOURS…

 

…FOR LIFE!

 

 

SO…

·      SET YOURSELF… stand still and see the salvation of the Lord (2Chr20:17)

STAND and after having done all… REMAIN STANDING. (Eph6:13-18)

 

·      WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD. (Eph6:10-12)

 

·      YOU HAVE… AND ARE… THE WEAPON TO TAKE DOWN THE ENEMIES OF YOUR SPOUSE! (2Cor10:3-4)

1Cor7:4  The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. Likewise, the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

“You are MY battle-ax and weapon of war” (Jer51:20)

 

 

Ps110:2. “…RULE IN THE MIDST OF YOUR ENEMIES!”

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
