Be Not Soon Shaken


 “BE NOT SOON SHAKEN…”

 

“…THAT WHICH YOU HAVE ALREADY,

HOLD FAST…”

 

 

I have found myself ruminating on these two co-joined scripture phrases throughout the day for the last week or so. 

 

What began as a prophetic word to one person has become a “Word” by which I am to live, as well. 

 

 

2Pet1:20-21NKJV

“…knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” 

 

 

Mk13:32MSG

“I say it to you, 

and I’m saying it TO ALL: 

Stay at your post. Keep watch.”

 

 

SO…

 

 

2Thes2:2 

“…BE NOT SOON SHAKEN in mind, 

or be troubled, 

…neither by spirit… nor by word… nor by letter as from us…”

 

 

Ps16:8AMPC

“I have set the Lord continually before me; because He is at my right hand, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED.”

 

 

Ps62:6AMPC

“He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I SHALL NOT BE MOVED.”

 

 

Pr12:3  “…the root of the righteous SHALL NOT BE MOVED.”

 

 

1Cor15:58  “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, UNMOVEABLE…”

 

 

2Chr20:17

You shall not need to fight in this battle:

·       set yourselves, 

·       stand still, 

·       and see the salvation of the Lord with you…

·       fear not, 

·       nor be dismayed (lie prostrate, immobilized in fear)

·       tomorrow go out against them: 

·       for the Lord will be with you.

 

 

Eph6:13-14NKJV

“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, 

and having done all…

to stand. 

Stand therefore…”

“…THAT WHICH YOU HAVE ALREADY,

HOLD FAST

Till I come.

YOU ARE SAVED!!!

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
