An Expected End


 


AN EXPECTED END

 

 

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, 

saith the LORD, 

thoughts of peace, 

and not of evil, 

to give you an expected end.”  (Jer29:11)

 

 

“I am God, and there is none like me, 

Declaring the end from the beginning, 

and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, 

saying, My counsel shall stand, 

and I will do all my pleasure…

…yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; 

I have purposed it, I will also do it.” (Isa46:9-11)

 

 

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son…” (Rom8:29)

 

 

HE HAS FAITH FOR YOUR OUTCOME. 

 

 

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee…” (Jer1:5) 

 

 

“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.”  (Jn15:15)

 

 

 

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you…” (Jn15:16)

 

 

 

“…that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus… 

…this one thing I do…

forgetting those things which are behind,

“For this reason I will not be negligent to remind you always of these things, 

though you know 

and are established 

in the present truth.”  (2Pet1:12-13)

FORMING YOUR WORLD

  Forming Your World     Have you been in a place in life where you feel like your world has no form, reason, nor rationale to it… like it is void of meaning or direction… and it seems like the darkness is so deep and thick that you not only can't see, but are so disoriented you have no clue as to which way is up?     How do you get out of THAT?     Gen1:1-2 describes just that scenario, but on a grand universal scale: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. CONVICTION

  CONVICTION   I have frequently heard the phrase, “the Holy Spirit CONVICTED me”… or… “I was CONVICTED by the Lord”.  As a young boy I was taught that God was this big eye in the sky continually watching to see if I was being good… and the Holy Spirit, being on my shoulder, would  speak in my ear to bring that guilt… shaming me back to the right path.the moment I stepped out of line   But… why did Jesus send the Holy Spirit to us?     In  Jn16:7 Christ calls the Holy Spirit “ THE COMFORTER ”. He uses the term, “ parakletos ”, which was used in NT times of an  attorney (lawyer)… someone  giving evidence that stands up in court .   It comes from two words: “ para ” (close-beside), and “ kaleo ” (make a call).
